The first step in using social media for business is to figure out where your customers like to hang out. Older ones are more likely to be on Facebook. Younger ones will be found on places like Instagram or Snapchat. It is important to know where they are getting their information from and be there too.

 

Once you know where they are you can spend time setting up your accounts and getting them to work for you. Use a name that has to do with your business so that people know it is you. Don't use names that don't tell anyone what you are about. if you can. include your brand in your username.

 

After you get your social media accounts up and running you need to figure out what you are going to post and how often. Sit down and figure out what you want to share and what will work for you. You want to post often and on a regular basis so your customers will know what you are about.

 

 

You will want to share from your websites but it is also a good idea to share other tyeps of posts. Ask questions and share articles that have to do with your product. You want a good mix so you are not just sharing information from your website but other types of posts to draw people in.

 

The important thing to remember is that building up your social media accounts might take some time. It won't happen overnight and you shouldn't get discouraged if you have to wait a while to see some results. 

 

 

Being active on social media will allow you to get your business out into the world and allow people to get to know you and your business on a more personal basis. If you are not on social media with your business you need to change that and get things set up as soon as possible.
